Swim with Whale Sharks

This experience is only posible from May to September each year and only posible in the water sourronding of Isla Mujeres, Contoy Islands and Holbox, right where the Caribbean meets the Gulf of Mexico. In this area, year after year, whalesharks arrive to feed themselves with plankton. These animals are not only beautiful but friendly.

The whaleshark adventure will be supervised by a professional and certified guide. They will tell you quite a lot about these magnificient fish.

The whale shark is a slow-moving, filter-feeding carpet shark and the largest known extant fish species. Their sizes vary from 5.5 to 10 meters, although the largest ever seen is 12.65 meters long. Lifespan is about 70 years. They have very large mouths and are filter feeders, which makes them human friendly animals.
